Terms of Service

Effective date: 07-10-2026

Welcome to DrTroy Continuing Education. By accessing or using drtroy.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, starting a membership, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is designed for licensed healthcare professionals including Physical Therapists (PT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA). You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate professional information including your license number and state.

3. Membership and Access

DrTroy CE offers an annual membership that provides access to our full catalog of board-approved continuing education (CE) courses for Texas PT, PTA, OT, and OTA license holders. An active membership grants unlimited access to all courses in the catalog for as long as the membership remains active, including new courses added during your membership term. Membership is personal to the account holder and may not be shared, resold, or transferred. Creating a free account does not require payment; access to course content requires an active paid membership.

4. Billing, Pricing, and Automatic Renewal

Your membership costs $50.00 per year (USD) and renews automatically. When you start a membership, you authorize DrTroy CE, through our payment processor (Stripe), to charge your payment method $50.00 for the first year and to automatically charge $50.00 each year on your renewal date unless you cancel before that date. Your membership continues and renews automatically until you cancel. We charge the payment method on file; if a renewal charge fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend access to course content until payment succeeds. By starting a membership, you acknowledge and agree to these automatic-renewal terms.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time through your account's billing portal or by contacting us at support@drtroy.com. Canceling is as straightforward as signing up. When you cancel, your membership stays active through the end of your current paid year and you will not be charged again. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund (see Refunds).

6. Refunds

You may request a refund of your most recent membership payment ONLY IF you have not yet started or accessed any course during the current membership term. Once you have opened, started, or completed any course during the current term, the membership fee for that term is non-refundable, including for any unused portion. Except as required by law, no other refunds are provided.

7. Access and Records After Membership Ends

If your membership ends — whether by cancellation or non-payment — your access to course content ends at the close of your paid term. Certificates you have already earned remain permanently yours: any CE certificate you completed and earned during an active membership stays available in your account and downloadable at any time, even after your membership ends. Ending a membership does not revoke, delete, or invalidate certificates you have already earned. You are responsible for retaining your own CE records as required by your licensing board.

8. CE Certificates

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of all course requirements including passing the final examination with the required score. Certificates include a unique verification number and can be verified online. You are responsible for submitting certificates to your licensing board as required. DrTroy CE does not guarantee acceptance by any specific licensing board.

9. Continuing Education Disclaimer

DrTroy CE courses are approved for Texas license renewal by the applicable board as stated on each course: PT and PTA courses by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (TSBPTE); OT and OTA courses by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (TOTA). Board approval applies to the specific course as approved. You are solely responsible for meeting your own license renewal requirements — including completing the correct number and type of CE hours, satisfying any jurisprudence/ethics or human-trafficking requirements not offered here, and reporting your CE to your board. Under Texas board rules, a given CE activity may generally be counted only once within a defined period; you are responsible for complying with those rules. DrTroy CE does not guarantee that completing our courses alone satisfies your entire renewal obligation.

All course content, including text, images, videos, assessments, and supporting materials, is the intellectual property of DrTroy Continuing Education and/or its content authors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any course content without prior written permission.

11. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login information with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@drtroy.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Disclaimers

Course content is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations for specific patients. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Platform. Upon termination, your access to course content may be revoked. Certificates you have already earned remain yours and continue to be available in your account. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

14. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with the Platform's operation, use automated tools to access or scrape content, impersonate any person or entity, or submit false professional credentials.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lubbock County, Texas.

16. Changes to Pricing

We may change membership pricing. A price change will not affect your current paid term. We will provide notice before a changed price applies to a renewal, and continuing your membership after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

17. Founding Members

Members who joined during the Founding Member period (on or before June 30, 2026) retain their locked founding membership rate on renewals for as long as their membership remains continuously active, subject to these Terms.
